    1. Every five years, each Member State shall update its contingency plan and submit the updated plan for approval in accordance with that procedure.
    2. Where necessary, implementing measures may be adopted in accordance with the procedure referred to in Article 62(3). Such measures shall establish harmonised rules for contingency plans to the extent necessary to ensure that such plans are compatible with the general plan for crisis management referred to in Article 55 of Regulation (EC) No 178/2002.
